Michigan slaps 67 cannabis businesses with fines

The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) handed out fines to 67 licensed cannabis businesses in November, with penalties ranging from $333 to $19,000.

Violations include:

• Annual financial statement noncompliance.

• Failure to report material changes (legal entity and physical locations/operations).

• General operational issues.

• Noncompliant handling and production.

• Noncompliant sales.

• Noncompliant waste disposal.

• Packaging and advertising.

• Sampling and testing.
