Courts defend cannabis users’ right to bear arms

The U.S. 5th Circuit Court just handed cannabis users a major win. They ruled that simply using cannabis isn't enough to strip away someone's right to own firearms. This ruling builds on similar decisions in Oklahoma and Texas.
The case centers on Patrick Daniels Jr., who faced prison time for having both guns and cannabis during a traffic stop.
For cannabis entrepreneurs and operators, it signals a broader shift:
Federal courts are starting to protect cannabis consumers' constitutional rights, even while the plant remains federally illegal
This could help reduce industry-wide discrimination and open doors for more normalized cannabis business operations
Agrify bets big on cannabis beverages
Agrify just made a bold move: selling their entire cultivation business for $7M to go all-in on THC drinks. The company's betting that their Señorita THC margarita — already a hit in nine states — represents a more profitable future than traditional growing operations.
"Focus drives excellence," says CEO Ben Kovler.
With hemp-derived THC beverages available for online sales and traditional cultivation margins getting squeezed, Agrify's pivot could be a preview of what's to come in cannabis.
