New study touts cannabis for pain relief

Cannabis may be a powerful tool for treating chronic pain and reducing dependence on other medications.
A scientific review from Penn State College of Medicine shows that marijuana and its compounds — THC, CBD, and CBG — can help manage various types of chronic pain.
The research highlights how cannabis interacts with the body's nervous system to suppress pain, potentially letting patients reduce their use of prescription medications — including opioids.
With over 100 million Americans suffering from chronic pain, this research offers fresh hope.
Alcohol seen as more harmful than weed

Most Americans now believe alcohol hurts your health more than cannabis does, according to a new YouGov poll. Yet interestingly, more people still prefer drinking.
The survey found 58% of adults think alcohol is more harmful than marijuana — a view shared across party lines with 64% of Democrats, 59% of independents, and 52% of Republicans agreeing.
Despite these health concerns, 27% of Americans still enjoy alcohol more than cannabis (13%), while nearly half don't use either substance.
For cannabis brands, this gap between health perception and actual consumption habits presents a golden opportunity:
People already see cannabis as safer — now they just need compelling reasons to make the switch.
